BioYolanda was born in 1909 into a family of 14 children. Growing up on a small farm in New Mexico with her many brothers and sister, Yolanda did not have a childhood like most others. Her and her family spent, from sunrise to sunset, tending to the cattle and swine. By the time Yolanda reached the ripe age of 11 and a half, a tragic incident occured. Her childhood sweetheart, Joshua, died of a combined brain and lung cancer. While dealing while outrageous grief, Yolanda decided she wanted to help people but did not have the drive do so. Soon after the sudden death of both her mother and father in the tragic fire of 1945, her dream of helping others became a reality. She made a LiveJournal, and all was well again.
